The only historic wooden post scooter in Germany
Richard Müller's "Selbstfahrer" is not only a nostalgic highlight, but also a unique piece of fairground history. As the only surviving historic wooden post scooter in Germany, it brings back memories of the 1960s and 1970s, when such rides were a feature of folk festivals.

The last remaining wooden post scooter - with original parts
The wooden post scooter was first built around 1950 and restored by the Müller company in 2010. The classic bumper car is equipped with original Ihle chaises from the years 1960 to 1972, which have also been lovingly restored. The scooter has a track measuring 16 x 10 meters. The entire construction measures 24 x 13 meters, including the skylight ticket trolley from 1926, manufactured by the Mack company.
The reopening of this historic ride is a testament to the passion and commitment of the Müller family, who have been in the fairground business since the 16th century and have enriched the Oktoberfest with their dedication.
Reviving and preserving fairground traditions
With this historic ride, Richard Müller and his family are helping to preserve and revive a unique tradition. The Selbstfahrer is not only an experience for young and old visitors, but also a living monument to the showman's trade.
