A lunchtime visit to the Wiesn has many advantages.It's more cosy than in the afternoon and evening hours and many Wiesn hosts also offer a cheaper lunch menu. Especially during the week, this is a great option for gourmets and families!
Free tables, fair prices: lunchtime in the beer tent
Of course, the Wiesn is not completely empty at lunchtime, but it is still more relaxed than later in the day.For this reason, the Mittagswiesn is particularly popular with families. Even without a reservation - at least during the week - you have a good chance of getting a free table in one of the tents or beer gardens and can enjoy the delicacies on the lunch menu at more favourable prices. And after lunch, you can have fun together on the rides without having to queue for long.
Mittagswiesn: dishes of the day during the week at a favourable price
During the Mittagswiesn, most tents, such as the Hofbräu tent, offer a different discounted lunch dish every day during the week and are anything but unimaginative. Hearty home cooking is served here as well as light vegetarian cuisine. On Fridays, however, you have to take a closer look. Some tents, such as the Wiesn-Guglhupf, only offer the low-cost Wiesn lunch service from Monday to Thursday, but not on Fridays, which are busy with visitors and sales, or at weekends.
Two for one campaign at the Wiesnbier
In 2024, the Münchner Stubn is introducing a two-for-one offer for Wiesn beer at lunchtime. All visitors who come to the tent to eat will receive two litres for the price of one. In addition to the festival beer, this promotion also applies to non-alcoholic beer.
In combination with the attractive lunch menus, all Munich residents, families or pensioners can plan a cheap Wiesn excursion from Monday to Friday (exept public holidays) until the reservation change at 5 pm (Wirtsbudenstraße 26).
