ZLF canceled, planning for Oide Wiesn in full swing

The Bavarian Farmers' Association announced on Friday (January 19) that the Bavarian Central Agricultural Festival (ZLF) will be canceled this year. The Department of Labour and Economic Affairs is organizing the Oide Wiesn instead, which would have actually made room for the ZLF on the Theresienwiese this year.

According to the Bavarian Farmers' Association, the reason for the cancellation of the Central Agricultural Festival is that less than half of the exhibitors had registered with the Farmers' Association by the registration deadline in mid-January compared to 2016. As the organizer, it did not see any possibility of holding an attractive and economically viable ZLF for guests and exhibitors. The time until the next event in 2028 will now be used to develop a new concept with all partners.

Wiesn boss Clemens Baumgärtner, Head of Labor and Economy: "I think it's a shame that the ZLF, which has a shared history with our Oktoberfest, is not coming. But now we are working flat out to prepare for the Oidn Wiesn. The starting signal for this is given today with the start of the tendering process. I am sure that we will once again have a great Oktoberfest this year."
Application for the Oide Wiesn 2024
The application forms for the Oide Wiesn 2024 are now available for download. Applications can only be submitted on the forms provided to the Service Center Theresienwiese, Matthias-Pschorr-Str. 4, 80339 Munich by February 29 at the latest.
If you have already applied for Oktoberfest 2024 by the deadline, please note this in your application for Oidn Wiesn 2024. The documents submitted on time for Oktoberfest 2024 will be included in the evaluation. The prerequisite for this is that both applications are for the same business.
