Taking part for the first time in 2024 - the Boandlkramerei musician's tent run by the Schöniger family.

Music and cultural programme in a pub atmosphere

The Boandlkramerei will open its doors at the Oidn Wiesn for the first time in 2024 and invites you to visit under the motto ‘To eternal life’. This marquee combines dancing, music and culinary delights in a cosy, informal atmosphere. A spacious dance floor and a well-equipped stage offer showmen and musicians the perfect platform to inspire the audience. Whether for dancing or a relaxed get-together at the table.
The marquee was planned and designed by Wildsfeuer Architekt und Innenarchitekten PartG mbB. The Boandlkramerei is visually reminiscent of an old pub, a dance floor and good loudspeakers ensure that you can be closer to the music and dancing on stage. A ‘sky’ frames the festive atmosphere, true to the motto: ‘Himmlisch guad und teuflisch zünftig!’ The new tent, built in-house for the Oide Wiesn, offers space for a total of 2,844 guests.

The speciality: Daily live music cabaret

In the Boandlkramerei musicians' tent, the name says it all!Twice a day you can experience the story of Boandlkramer and Brandner Kaspar live in the Boandlkramerei, in short form as a musical cabaret. With humour and witty anecdotes, Brandner Kaspar, Pfortner or St. Peter and Boandlkramer show off their skills. The cast is diverse and gender-balanced: a female Brandner, a St Petra and a Boandlin also perform. Together with the musicians on stage, the three characters also show off their musical skills.

The music: listening, singing and dancing along

Musically, the proven tradition of ‘young folk music’, ‘Heimatsound’ and ‘Tradimix’ will be continued. Well-known names such as Oimara and ‘Deschowieder’ or Cubaboarisch 2.0 or ‘The Heimatdamisch’ will ensure an exuberant atmosphere in the evenings. During the day, various brass bands from all over Bavaria perform.

The menu: typical Oktoberfest, classic dishes and vegan specialities

In the Boandlkramerei, chef Petar Folic spoils you with a colourful mix of traditional dishes, refined with organic products as well as vegetarian and vegan delicacies. Smaller portions are available for children and senior citizens. For those with a sweet tooth, there are sweet delicacies such as Kaiserschmarrn, chocolate mousse and apple strudel. The Wiesn beer is from Augustiner Bräu and there is a selection of regional wines and spirits at the bar.

For "Gscheidhaferl": at the Wiesn since 1992

The host family Peter and Petra Schöniger have 33 years of experience at folk festivals. Known for the Festhalle Bayernland at the Munich Spring Festival, the Schönigers are no strangers to the Oktoberfest. They have regularly had their own sausage stand at the Oktoberfest since 1992. In 2024, they will have their own marquee for the first time.
